Frühlingshochzeit auf Schloss Scharfenberg // Spring wedding at Schloss Scharfenberg

When I first met Claudia and Marc, we spent five minutes talking about wedding related stuff and hours talking about mountaineering, recommended hiking tours and rock climbing safety.
It’s safe to say that we got along pretty well.

They told me that they had planned to get married in the Saxony Switzerland, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. When I jokingly said that we should spent the sunday after their wedding to go rock climbing and to take some additional photos, they said “Yes” – that’s the kind of people they are. Open, enthusiastic, kind nature lovers.

But first things first: we met again some months later, for breakfast on their wedding morning, and then we drove to Schloss Scharfenberg, one of the most magical und beautiful places I know. There, in the castle gardens, they tied the knot with the rope they use to secure each other on rock climbing adventures. The whole day was laid back, down to earth and wonderfully relaxing (and that comes from the photographer who walked 13km that day!). Thank you SO much, Claudia and Marc, for inviting me to document your wedding story.

I hope you’ll enjoy their wedding pictures as much as I do. Part 2 of the wedding documentary (working title: “Vertical limit”) will follow soon!
